Customer Obligations
The customer agrees to fulfil their contractual obligations and to provide the requested information carefully, so that KJ-Experience is able to properly fulfil its own obligations within the agreed schedule.
Notifications and Time
All notifications by the customer must be in writing during official Finnish business hours (8 am - 4 pm). All times mentioned are local times.
Liability, insurance, the customer's disclosure obligations, compensation, animals, etc.
In providing the accommodation, transport, and program services covered by this contract, KJ-Experience follows preventive, planned, diligent, and appropriate health and safety measures in accordance with Finnish legislation and recommended practices.
Service Language
The language used in the services and guidance during the services is Finnish or English, unless otherwise stated or agreed.
Liability Insurance
KJ-Experience holds general operational liability insurance.
Motor Liability Insurance
All cars and other road-going motorized transport vehicles used in Finland must have valid motor liability insurance. Compensation for damage and injuries arising from a traffic accident is covered by the valid motor liability insurance of the vehicle that caused the accident, subject to what is stated below.
Under Finnish law and the terms of motor liability insurance, any person who sustains bodily injury is entitled to compensation for medical costs, pain and suffering, and permanent injury. Compensation levels are determined by Finnish legislation and regulatory provisions. Compensation for property damage is limited by law to a maximum of 3,300,000,00 € However, if a party's injuries result from their own intentional act or gross negligence, the injured party is not entitled to compensation for the damage.
Snowmobiles Used on Safaris
All snowmobiles used on safaris are insured in accordance with Finnish law. The scope of the insurance is subject to the terms of the motor liability insurance referred to above and to Finnish legislation. The terms mentioned above also apply in other respects.
Customers participating in safaris are liable for any damage they cause to the snowmobiles. In the event of an accident, the maximum personal liability per snowmobile is 1.500,00 €. The customer must always notify KJ-Experience in writing whether each customer signs their own personal deductible, or whether one person in the customer group signs on behalf of the entire group.
The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a driving licence that is valid and accepted in Finland. The snowmobile driver must be able to present their driving licence during the safari, as the police may check its validity during the safari. Finnish law prohibits driving a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol. As the organizer responsible for the safari, KJ-Experience reserves the right to change routes, schedules, and the duration of trips if prevailing weather conditions require it, or if it is necessary for safety reasons or the comfort of participants. KJ-Experience also reserves the right to stop a safari if a participant is considered to potentially be a danger to themselves or other participants, or is in poor condition.
Other Damages
KJ-Experience can be held liable only for personal injury and property damage that occurs during the provision of services under this contract and that results from the negligence of KJ-Experience, its staff, or subcontractors, or from liability related to defective equipment. KJ-Experience is not liable for accidental damage or injury that is compensated under the customer's travel insurance. Taking out personal travel insurance is always strongly recommended.
Program services (e.g. snowmobiling, canoeing trips) can be physically demanding, and participants may be exposed to various physical strains. For this reason, the consumer is required to inform KJ-Experience, before participating in safaris, trips, activities, and other programs or services included in the order confirmation, if they have an illness or condition (e.g. heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, or back or pelvic problems) that could affect their ability to participate in the program services, or if they are pregnant. In such cases, the consumer must consult a medical professional before participating in the services regarding their ability to take part in the relevant services. The orderer is obliged to inform all consumers named in the order confirmation of their responsibility to assess their own ability to participate in the services.
All insurance documents, including their terms, are available upon the consumer's request.
Animals
All animals used in the services (reindeer and husky rides, hunting dogs) are trained to the extent possible for the activity in question. However, animal behaviour can never be fully predicted. For this reason, and to reduce risk, the safety instructions and other guidance provided must be followed.
Notice of Defect
Any defect that can be corrected during the service must be reported to KJ-Experience without delay and as soon as possible during the service. After the service has ended, the consumer may not invoke a defect unless they notify KJ-Experience of the defect within a reasonable time after discovering it, or after they should have discovered it — and in any case no later than 30 days after the end of the contract or the services.Price Reductions and Compensation
If KJ-Experience has provided a service or delivery that is materially defective, KJ-Experience is obliged to compensate the consumer with a price reduction or compensation in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel.
Prices
All stated prices are in euros and include value-added tax (VAT) in accordance with Finnish VAT legislation. The margin taxation scheme for travel agencies and reverse VAT liability apply where required by VAT legislation. All prices are based on the requested period, group size, season, type of service, and availability, as well as other relevant factors taken into account in pricing. KJ-Experience has the right to change the price of the services at its discretion if there are changes to the content or basis of the services.
KJ-Experience reserves the right to make changes to prices if the cost of supplies, currency, or fuel rises materially, or if a material price increase results from such costs, as well as when VAT or other taxes change.
KJ-Experience reserves the right to apply promotional offers and booking benefits only to new reservations. In this context, a new reservation means a reservation made during the validity period of the promotion or booking benefit. Promotional offers and booking benefits are also subject to the rules and instructions of each specific campaign. Offers and benefits are personal, are not transferred to another traveller in the event of a name change, and are not granted retroactively. Promotional offers and booking benefits do not apply to group trips or special trips.
Force Majeure
KJ-Experience is not liable for failures, damages, or losses resulting from a force majeure event, or from an unreasonable deterioration of its ability to operate in comparable situations (for example war, strike, lockout, or impossible or dangerous weather conditions for carrying out the services, e.g. lack of snow).
If a force majeure event occurs, KJ-Experience must notify the other party of it in writing without delay. KJ-Experience must keep the other party informed of the continuation of the force majeure event and notify them of any relevant changes in circumstances during the event. While a force majeure event is ongoing, KJ-Experience must also take all reasonable measures available to it to minimize the effects that the force majeure event has on the fulfilment of its obligations under this contract.
Termination and Cancellation
KJ-Experience has the right to terminate the contract if the traveller has not paid the price of the trip, or a part of it, by the agreed payment date at the latest. A precondition for the tour operator's right to terminate the contract is that the traveller has been given a reasonable period to pay. The document stating the payment deadline must state the tour operator's right to terminate the contract due to non-payment.
The General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel apply to KJ-Experience's right to cancel or interrupt a trip.
The General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel apply to the orderer's and consumer's right to cancel or interrupt a trip, as well as their right of withdrawal.

This contract enters into force on the effective date and remains valid until the end date, unless the contract ends earlier due to termination. The end date is deemed to be the last date of service delivery stated in the order confirmation.
Entire Agreement
From the effective date, this contract supersedes all prior agreements, statements, or commitments between the Parties relating to the order confirmation, whether oral or written. From the effective date, this contract — consisting of the order confirmation, these General Terms and Conditions, the Commercial Terms, and any other addenda mentioned in the order confirmation — constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties regarding the matters agreed therein.
Communication
Notices and other communication between the Parties under the contract must take place in writing (e.g. by email), in Finnish or English.
Subcontractors
KJ-Experience has the right to use subcontractors in providing the services.
Services Outside the Package Travel Contract
When a service (e.g. a trip and/or activity) is booked as a single travel service separately from a package travel booking, and separately from concluding a package travel contract, via the service provider's website, customer service, or staff at the holiday destination, the booked travel service is not part of the package travel and constitutes a separate contract. In such cases, the travel package legislation under EU Directive 2015/2302 does not apply to the service (e.g. the trip and/or activity), and KJ-Experience is not liable for the proper performance of that travel service. In the event of problems, the consumer should contact the relevant service provider directly.
Applicable Law and Disputes
Finnish law applies to the contract and to any disputes related to it. If a dispute concerning the package travel contract or another contract cannot be resolved through negotiation between the Parties, the consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). Severability
If any part, term, or provision of this contract is held to be partially or wholly invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining terms and other parts of the contract will remain in full legal effect.

The renter agrees to carry out a safety check during the rental period. Rental equipment may not be taken out of the country, nor may it be re-rented (unless separately agreed). Rental equipment may only be used to the extent permitted by these terms and only at locations suitable for the user's skill and experience level. The customer uses all equipment and accessories entirely at their own risk.

The customer must return the equipment immediately at the end of the rental period, to the agreed location, cleaned and otherwise in the same condition as when it was handed over for rental. The renter must notify the lessor without delay if the return will be delayed. The lessor has the right to charge a 50% increased rental fee for the excess time, unless otherwise separately agreed.
The customer is obliged to compensate for damage and costs to the rental equipment arising during the rental period from careless or improper handling and from inadequate maintenance. The customer is obliged to compensate the equipment's replacement value if it is destroyed or lost during the rental period. The customer is responsible for complying with transport, safety, and other regulations. The customer must notify the lessor immediately of any defects that appear in the equipment.
The lessor is responsible for repairs arising from normal wear and tear of the equipment. The lessor is not liable for any indirect or direct costs or damages that may arise for the renter from the use or breakage of the equipment. The lessor does not commit to providing a replacement device for broken rental equipment, nor to compensating for any indirect or direct costs arising from an interruption of the activity.
